It is a good idea to determine the cause of the bad breath, but it is also a good idea to learn ways to freshen your breath when it needs it. The good news is that while food can cause bad breath, it can also help freshen the breath. The key is knowing what foods to turn to.

Not Always the Quick Fix
If you ask anyone what is the best way to fight bad breath, they will often suggest turning to gum or a breath mint. Everyone knows that garlic and onions make your breath smell bad, but they may not know that chewing on parsley and basil can have the opposite effect. Apples and spinach are also foods that can help fight the bad breath.
